A pro-Tinubu advocacy group, Kendo Immaculate Gents, on Sunday, 5 April 2026 honoured the Chairman of SAMDA Nigeria, Tajudeen Disu, while extending support to vulnerable residents during an Easter outreach in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The recognition took place at a community event led by the Chairman of the LGA, Otunba Dr Kehinde Al-moroof Oloyede, who also serves as the group’s anchor. Disu, a former Nigeria international, was among the prominent personalities present as the group carried out its charitable initiative to mark Easter.
As part of the celebration, the group distributed food items and drinks to children and other vulnerable individuals across the local government area. The outreach, according to organisers, aligns with their broader objective of engaging and mobilising grassroots support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
Disu’s recognition at the event was in acknowledgment of his longstanding contributions to grassroots football development, as well as his public service role as Supervisory Councillor for Agriculture, Youth, Sports and Social Development in Surulere Local Government Area. His involvement in youth and community development initiatives was highlighted as a key reason for the honour bestowed on him.
Other former Nigerian internationals also participated in the outreach, lending their support to the initiative. Among them were Chief Musibau Aregbe, popularly known as Yaro Malaika, alongside Kehinde Owolabi and Jimoh Agoh. Their presence added prominence to the event as they joined in distributing relief items to beneficiaries.
The group, which has continued to expand its membership base, includes notable figures such as Hon. Animashaun Saheed Kolawole, Hon. Azeez Olubiyo, Comrade Tunde Afolabi, Chief Kayode Modiu Opeifa, Akinwunmi Rasaq, Ganiu Mohammed and Babatunde Oke. Additional members, including Kehinde Dada, Tayo Akinola, Ismaila Agbalaya and John Kayode Okujobi, were also identified as key contributors actively supporting the group’s political mobilisation efforts.
Addressing attendees at the event, Oloyede emphasised that the group’s activities are driven by a commitment to national development and improved welfare for citizens. He noted that their political alignment is rooted in advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu, which they believe offers a pathway to a more prosperous Nigeria.
Overall, the Easter outreach combined political engagement with community service, reflecting the group’s dual focus on advocacy and social impact.
